US Boxing Promoters Form Professional Association In NYC

July 20th, 2009 will go down as one of the most historic days in boxing. More than thirty of the United States top promoters met at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City to discuss the current state of boxing and the need to establish a unified boxing promoters association. After an all day meeting, the promoters unanimously formed a trade association. The organizational structure and name will be released after the next meeting in September.
